The Nord Panels presswood pallet is a monolithic structure made of birch chips pressed under high temperature and pressure. Lightweight, strong, nestable and ready for export without phytosanitary treatment.
Introducing the product
What is a presswood pallet?
Unlike a conventional pallet nailed together from boards, a presswood pallet is formed as a single piece. Birch chips are mixed with a binder and pressed at 160 °C under high pressure.
- A monolith with no nails, metal or voids — no splinters or protruding corners.
- Identical geometry and weight from batch to batch.
- Nests inside one another — many times more compact in storage and on empty return runs.
How it is made
Full production cycle
From birch chips to the finished pallet — four process stages on a single site in Petropavlovsk. A 2,000-tonne hydraulic press at temperatures of up to 190 °C.
Mixing
The chips are mixed with a waterproof WBP binder (phenolic resin) — evenly distributed throughout the volume of the future pallet.
Milling
The wood fraction is brought to the required size — a homogeneous structure with predictable strength and weight in every batch.
Pressing
The 2,000-tonne hydraulic press forms the monolithic pallet at temperatures of up to 190 °C — with no nails, metal or voids.
